WHY BUDGET SMARTPHONES MIGHT OVERTAKE THE FLAGSHIP RANGE.

As the ASUS Zenfone 5 have made into a the budget smartphone range (~$200) with having a notch (like an iphone) and about 3 GB ram with 32 GB rom; for some critics, it seems like budget smartphones might replace 
flagship range smartphones.

But what are flagship 
smartphones? Can you elaborate?

Flagship range of phones simply mean that these phones are designed to hit the price range of ~$700. 

Simply put, these phones are for what you can say, 'High Profile' buyers.

But why are these flagship phones even existing then?

There are a bunch of reasons why some people still prefer these flagship phones.
1. These phones have 'premium processors'. Though the performance might not differ in the real time, but you know the apple thing!
2. These phones have polished design and better camera.
3. Using these phones show How premium you are. Huh!

Ok for all that but why are these budget phones going to take over the market?

Take it this way, suppose that you want to buy a house with 2 rooms and a kitchen. Now you have two choices, either to buy the house with these specifications but is cheap and does not look 'very cool' but still is improving or conversely you can buy a house which looks really cool (not that different from the original one though.) with same specifications (in fact lesser than original) but is 4 TIMES the original price.


Now which one would you prefer?
The economically equivalent or just the high-end money bragging one?

Personally I would safe the money here and use it somewhere meaningful else.

Now most of you might have understood where I am getting to.

Why are these budget phones good? (The Technical perspective)

Let's just say that I want to buy the upcoming Moto G6.
Now this phone has 2 variants but for the sake of simplicity, we will go around with the best one which comes equipped with 4 GB ram and 64 GB rom.

It also features a fingerprint sensor, a 5.77 inch screen and dual rear camera with full 1080p recording @ 30 fps.
It is priced at around $200.

Now why the heck I am going to buy a phone with almost same specs but a price tag of $700?

Well I am not unless I have a bad visceral need of coughing up some bucks for no reason at all.

The Conclusion

Flagship phones were a thing of past. Now budget smart phones offer you same specs with lower price.

So this flagship range might get replaced in the future because just like you and me, people aren't idiot.
